Winter
While winter along the Oregon Coast is a bit cold, it is also one of the more spectacular times to visit. Winter provides opportunities for whale watching, crabbing and clamming, fewer crowds, reduced rates, and our active winter storms. With winter storms that greet the Oregon coastline, Depoe Bay and other seaside towns offer a front-row seat to some of the best action along the coast. Small sea caves become filled with rushing water, spouting high into the air – creating a magical display of Mother Nature. One such phenomenon is the Spouting Horns of Depoe Bay. Temperatures in the winter usually stick around the 50s with frequent storms and rain.
