TAKE A ROOM TOUR
#9 THE SPOUTING HORN

One of three oceanfront ground floor rooms, the room contains a queen size bed, gas fireplace and a whirlpool on its deck. The smallest of the Channel House's three rooms, you can step out of your room onto your deck and hear the thunder of waves crashing onto the rocks below.

GUEST JOURNAL FROM THE SPOUTING HORN:

This is anniversary #12. What a wonderful place to come and to forget about everyday life. We needed a place to come unwind and we found it. It has been a much-needed break from our three kids, though perhaps too short! A great place for romance that is so hard to find at home. We'll be back. - Rick & Therese

This night was beyond my grasp of the English language to describe. I'll remember your tenderness for the rest of my life. - Pam

Our first trip away from our kids in almost 3 years I dare say that it won't be that long again. We had a great time and although it was cold outside the tub was great to relax in and listen to the sounds of the surf. Only complaint is that I had to get back home Monday evening for class. - Malcolm & Terri

Bedroom

A business trip, alone to watch the surf crashing upon the rocky shore, to first see the light on the channel marker, the cry of the evening gull. As the fireplace casts its warmth and flickering light across the wrought iron bed, thoughts of romance and sexual abandonment flirt through the thoughts of your brain, a room made for love, amore: sweet chocolate on the bed side, wine in the ice bucket. Oh, to be alone on a business trip. Indulge yourself, my unknown friends. Love long and slowly, gently and kindly for this is a special place. - Tom

This is our 34th wedding anniversary weekend. It has been so wonderful to learn that after 36 years of knowing one another we still celebrate our love. Enjoy your stay and know when you pass those old people that passion still burns for many. - Cathy & Joe

Thanks for a wonderful stay - only one night - but great. The sound of the ocean, the foghorn, the tub on the deck - a good wine and the one I love after 33 years of marriage! - Charlie & Sandi

The sunset in the distance, the sound of the ocean waves crashing against the rocks below and the cool refreshing wind brushing my face, harmonized like a great symphony as I relaxed with my woman in the hot tub. The romantic setting brought out our passion for each other. - Chris & Christie

Deck

Ah, to have one's mind, body and soul restored by the luxury of relaxation, a sensitive partner, and the wonderful abandonment of one's inhibitions  the sea has swallowed my cares. Let there be passion tonight! - Jade & Mike

This room is not only for lovers, but lovers of solitude. I'm alone but thoroughly enjoying reading a book by the fire and listening to the mesmerizing ocean! What a retreat in the middle of the Oregon coast. - Linda

This has been one of the loveliest times I've ever had. The romantic setting, the eternal sea, and the man I've loved for 45 years have made these past four days among the most memorable I have ever had. There is a sense of peace and renewal and unselfish giving that I've found - gifts that I will take with me. One is never too old for learning or love. - Gary's wife

There's nothing quite like a romance by the sea and no better place to fall in love again than at the Channel House. - Pat & Sue

We're having a hard time leaving. This place is incredible. We live on the coast of British Columbia and thought we would experience more. What a wise decision. Life is good. - Colleen & Mike
